Course Objectives This course, PROSTATE CANCER: CAUSE, is divided into two sections. The first section discusses ethiology of prostate cancer, describing the anatomy and physiology of the normal prostate, as well as its pathophysiology. The second section presents the statistics and risk factors associated with the epidemiology of prostate cancer.
  • The PATHOPHYSIOLOGY section introduces prostate anatomy and physiology, discusses the pathophysiology basis for disease and its modes of its metastasis, and classifies the different types of prostate cancer.
  • The EPIDEMOLOGY section presents the statistics and associated risk factors of prostate cancer.
